Geinoh Yamashirogumi’s Akira Score To Be Reissued On Vinyl

The original score to the 1988 anime classic will be re-released on vinyl thanks to Milan Records.

In case you missed the new, Milan Records confirmed via Twitter in August that the Akira’s Symphonic Suite Akira will be reissued. This is not to be mistaken for the OST (AKIRA: The Original Japanese Soundtrack), which featured a mix of music and dialogue. Instead, fans will be treated to Geinoh Yamashirogumi’s original score, composed and conducted by member Shoji Yamashiro. The original release can fetch up hundreds and while a bootleg surfaced in 2014, Milan Records have said the reissue would “not be limited”, adding “there will be enough for everybody.”

If you can’t wait, you can stream it in its entirety below.
